At Leximille, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our language learning application. We are committed to transparency and protecting your data.
Information We Collect
Account Information: Email address used for authentication and account recovery. We do not collect or store passwords directly - authentication is handled securely through our authentication provider.
Learning Data: Your progress, including cards reviewed, lessons completed, streak information, and XP earned. This data is essential for the spaced repetition system and to track your learning journey.
Usage Statistics: Anonymous, aggregated data about how the app is used, such as which features are most popular and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the app experience.
Device Information: Basic device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect personally identifiable information (PII) beyond your email
- We do NOT store your real name, phone number, or physical address
- We do NOT track your location
- We do NOT access your contacts, photos, or other personal data
- We do NOT sell your data to third parties
- We do NOT use your data for advertising purposes
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Provide and personalize the learning experience
- Track your progress and maintain learning streaks
- Power the spaced repetition algorithm
- Display your ranking on leaderboards (using display name only)
- Send optional learning reminders (if enabled)
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Provide customer support
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure provider, to host our database. All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Data Retention
We retain your learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Database and authentication
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- Sentry: Error tracking and crash reporting
- ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech audio
- Anthropic: AI conversation practice
- Resend: Transactional email
These services have their own privacy policies and are contractually bound to protect your data.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data. Settings > Account > Download my data gives you a copy of everything we store about you.
- Delete your account. Settings > Account > Delete account removes your account and all learning data after a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel by signing back in. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage that in your device settings.
- Opt out of analytics. Settings > Privacy > Share usage data. We ask on first launch and collect nothing unless you agree. Crash reports are separate, contain no personal information, and help us fix problems.
- Correct your information at any time in Settings.

Children's Privacy
Leximille is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
